shopping sites in india
Welcome to another BargainBrute.Com short narrative today. We will look at some of the best “shopping sites in India,” be prepared as you may be surprised as to our findings.
Believe it or not, analysts tell us that over 627 million million internet users in India are the second largest online market in the world. With at least 97% of that figure using mobile devices to tap into the online market, it is no wonder that many online shopping sites and companies, and I include the likes of Amazon, eBay, and many other international online companies, are scrambling to get a foothold within the borders of what is, an extraordinary expanding economic society.
Yes, it would seem that retail, especially “Shopping Sites in India,” is set to explode. It would also appear that none of the larges corporations around the world has missed the signals that now is the right time to expand into the country, and will do in the knowledge that their customer base will if analysts are correct, increase by a minimum of 6 million internets every year.
A sure sign as to just what sort of companies have now become implanted within the ever-growing online shopping economic e-commerce platforms in India has been signaled by internationally known online companies, companies such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon, all of who have permanently positioned themselves at the front of India’s online retail economy.
Amazon, for instance, have gone as far as to open up what is perhaps Indias first online pharmacy, basing it in one of Indias largest cities Bengaluru, which in itself has a population of over 8,426 million, a large client base in itself, so I do not think Amazon will have any problems in succeeding in their plans to supply over the counter prescription drugs, while also supporting traditional Indian medicines like, Ayurveda and OTC medicinal drugs, which will allow them to keep in line with India’s many holistic legal healthcare remedies,
Yes, I do not think, just like Flipkart and Snapdeal, that Amazon has got this wrong, it has been well thought out, and I am sure many other online shopping retailers will follow Amazon’s example.
Authors note: Out of the three major online retailers Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon, it was our friends over at Amazon who came out on top, earning the accolade of becoming the largest eCommerce company in terms of revenue and remembers while working out of what was not that long ago, one of the most impoverished nations on our planet.
OK, let’s take a quick look at the online retailer Flipkart, which has also become so successful in this India’s newfound online economic economy.
Flipkart is billed as one of Indias largest online stores and has been around since 2007, so has already gained somewhat of a good reputation, mainly because they offer their online client base a multitude of products including, Clothes, Shoes, home appliances, electronics, furniture, books, jewelry, and sporting goods, and wait for it they are, believe it or not, part of the American based giant Wallmart, just another online retailer who has seen the benefits of expanding into one of the largest online economies in the world.
Authors note A sign as to just how successful Flipkart has become in India. For that matter, the world is that their total revenue in 2019 amounted to 436.2 billion INR, that’s a colossal 6.6 billion American dollars, quite a successful year, I would say in anyone’s book.
The last one of the three major online retailers mentioned above has also taken up residence in India Snapdeal.
Snapdeal has been around since February of 2010. Founded by two highly successful Indian businessmen Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, they now have over 60 million products neatly split into 800 different categories, so it is no wonder this relatively young company has done so well in its short existence
When I first started researching this narrative, I admit I did not understand just how “Snapdeal” became so popular in India’s online retail community. However, when I found out that they boasted of having millions of users spread throughout six thousand plus cities, and more than 300,000 sellers to their name, it was not hard to understand just how they had managed all of their success, so, for this, I have to take my hat off, and wish them luck for the future, although it may not be a question of luck as the company seems to be headed by two very accomplished businessmen.
Authors note: The journey for Snapdeal is not over as they have now partnered with the likes of BlackRock, SoftBank, Temasek, Foxconn, Alibaba, eBay, and Intel Capital, so the future does look very Rosie for them. I will keep checking back on them and let you know how they are getting on in the future. However, please pop over and take a look at them yourself and let me know.
