online shopping sites
We welcome you back to another short narrative in which we will attempt to detail just the most popular online shopping sites in North America. As is our custom, we will not say precisely what online shopping sites are our favorites. We will leave that choice up to you, our clients, and of course, with the help of online social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Brought to you by Bargainbrute.com, home to the hottest online deals on the internet.
Before we get to just who are amongst the most popular online shopping sites in America, why do we not have a look at just a little bit of background?
Why has the United States been rated as perhaps the world’s most advanced market for shopping online, and why is it often referred to as the worldwide standard for all things related to eCommerce?
Simple answer, because unlike most other countries, many of its online eCommerce businesses also have significant quarters often becoming leaders within that foreign country. That may sound a bit complicated, so to put it another way, without these American companies leading the way in these countries, the countries’ own economic outlook would be very dim indeed.
Authors note: You can see an example of this when as sometimes happens, typically because of human and political strive, America places sanctions on a foreign power, which in turn limits just what these major US companies who are operating in the sanctioned countries can do, and also cannot do. In fact, they are modeling and creating most of the trends in the modern world of online shopping.
Of course, if we look at the above trends from a different direction, and remember that the United States has over 280 million active internet users, all of who come from different backgrounds, all of whom use a smartphone, desktop computer, or laptop. All share the same love of shopping online. Then I would say that this is the main reason why American online shopping trends have helped create this massive online domination of worldwide eCommerce.
Authors note: So to all online shopping companies ignore the mobile market at your peril; without it, your online business will just slide down into oblivion.
OK, that’s enough of the background talk. Let’s now look at just who some of these top-placed and popular online shopping sites are. Some may surprise you, as they have been around for a long time, trading as traditional brick and mortar retail outlets.
So with no further ado, here are the top popular online shopping sites in America, and please remember they are in no particular order.
Wayfair: Founded back in 2007, this online shopping site has gone from strength to strength. So much so, they boast to having over 10,000 suppliers from all corners of the earth, something which they do require not as a luxury but to supply its online clients, 77 Million of them, who choose to look at their site every single month. They also have opened offices in Ireland, Canada, Germany, and the British Isles.
Authors note: Like our hosts BargainBrute.Com, Wayfair has invested in their superstructure by constructing warehouses throughout mainland America to keep their online clients supplied.
Best Buy: Most of us have heard of or maybe even shopped at Best Buy for most of our electronics, including desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, and even the clothes washer and dryer. In fact, if you are looking for gadgets of all kinds, pop over and take a visit. You may be pleasantly surprised.
They are obviously doing brilliantly, as they have opened, via a few subsidiaries of theirs, outlets in Mexico, Canada, and China, and since starting their online activities at bestbuy.com, (not too long ago, I might add), receive over 92 million visitors every month, yes that’s right, 72 million visitors per month.
Etsy: One of the ever-growing online shopping sites that enable both companies and public members to sell directly through their website. A website that specializes in photography items, food, beauty products, all sorts of clothing and toys, was a bit of a change for them, as when they first started up in business, they marketed themselves as a company that sold vintage products, along with some rather luxury looking handmade products.
Authors note: This new approach for doing business online seems to be working for “Etsy” as they pull in an incredible 225 million visitors to their online shopping site every month.
Amazon: Once again, most of us have heard of and shopped at Amazon. They are genuinely one of the mega giants when it comes to either shopping online or in one of their mega traditional brick and mortar stores, and for a business that first started up online by selling books, they have not done too bad at all.
Products include food, electronics, furniture, smartphones, the list goes on, and so great is their superstructure, both the brick and mortar branch of their company and, of course, their online department. It is no small wonder they have become known as the indubitable world leader when it comes down to anything concerning eCommerce.
Authors note: Of course, most of us know they have also started online streaming with their ever-growing prime video arm. Not bad at all for a company that was only founded just twenty-six years ago in 1994, and as for website traffic, well, what can I say, a whopping 2 Billion visits every single month.
